How do I know if my article is peer-reviewed?

Answer

Peer-reviewed articles are high quality and reviewed by experts in the subject field.

If you start your search using the Library Search on the library website, you are able to limit your set of results further by selecting peer-reviewed only along the left hand side of the page.

The articles from the major publisher online resources such ScienceDirect, American Chemical Society, Sage, Springer and Wiley will all be peer-reviewed.

Other online resources such as Business Source Complete will always allow you to limit your results to just peer-reviewed journals.

A print journal will have the details about peer-review inside the front cover or on the front cover and online journals will have the details on their journal home page.

If you are still unsure after trying these steps then check with your supervisor or the library.
